What is a blender kit?
BlenderKit is a free and open-source 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering library for Blender that offers users a collection of materials and tools to aid in the creation of high-quality 3D scenes. Its primary purpose is to make 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering as simple and painless as possible. While BlenderKit was created largely by Blender Foundation members, it is currently the foundation for the community-created Blender Game Engine (BGE). Blender Institute members utilize the BGE to create video games in collaboration with prominent independent game developers. The BGE has been utilized for commercial reasons as well as by smaller teams all around the world to build their own games. BlenderKit has a diverse set of materials. Hundreds of pre-made textures are available for download, ranging from rusted metal to creamy leather. It also contains a set of simple yet effective techniques, including texture mapping and procedural textures. There is also a collection of 3D models that may be downloaded or imported straight into Blender for more advanced modeling projects. BlenderKit may be downloaded from the official website at blender.org/blendernetwork or from the GitHub repository at https://github.com/blendernetwork.
